Food camp

Food camp

Together with Inger Grimm we participated in a workshop during autumn vacation 2022 in Lier @Gilhus. We made food, made electricity out of apples and potatoes and visited the exhibition ART in the main building of Gilhus. We went out in the fields to pick kale and corn, and went inside the greenhouse to see what we could find of tomatoes so late in the season. We used all we could find to make food, and put up a layered compost bed out of stones, sticks and the leftovers from cooking. Then we went inside the barn to see TWAPs’ exhibition A vassal to my lord and to get an introduction of the history of light, from fire to diode light by Anne-Britt Rage. We could play with the diode lights during the end of the session.

We would climb in trees, play hide and seek, try to find ghosts in the old buildings and grill our food outdoors.
